Thread: Harrahs Cherokee cheating at Blackjack

    rivrat77,

From what I understand, Harrah's Cherokee is owned by Cherokee Indians of NC and sort of just 'licensed' the Harrah's name from Caesars. I don't know what the proper term should be but definitely it's Indian owned and not Caesars. Although I agree that cheating shouldn't be tolerated by Caesars as Cherokee carries their name, I doubt that Caesar's is aware of what's going on.

I have been there several times and noticed the same thing. Unfortunate for me being new to counting, I used up my entire trip bankroll at high counts and can never get a hand. I then counted other tables and true enough, I do notice a scarcity of 10s but cannot prove it. They seem to do this during weekends when they have a big concert or they know they'll be pretty busy. On not so busy days, weekdays and weekends without events, the cards appear normal.

I would suggest for you not to come back and play there.

I don't know if you may want to put a feedback at Caesar's website about this?

Thanks for posting. I thought I was the one who believes they're cheating.

Well of course on the high counts it stays on minus 1 or two for one deal. The remainder are all plus or neutral cards. All night it stayed over plus 20. I know. I counted them for 3 straight hours.

Oh I totally agree with you about Caesars. They do not know what I know and can prove I assure you.

Caesars is a managing partner with Cherokee. Just found out for sure.

When they open a new BJ table. Doesn't the dealer fan the cards out on the table and check the decks for flaws for everyone to view?

No sir they do not. Yall listen to me. The count stayed above 20 and was actually closer to 30 more than 20. Each and every deal. At one point it was 32.

At most casinos procedures would prevent this but not here I guess.
Biggg thats exactly what they did. I totally agree with you that Caesars has no clue of whats going on. They are a managing partner with them. Its regulated by the Cherokee not by the state of NC.

This is a VERY interesting thread and I'm eager to hear the outcome! It's very unsettling to think this might be going on as it would be a killer if you got caught in it in a big way.

Would it have been feasible to spill a drink on your cards (or something like that?) and force them to open a new set? I've never encountered this situation so I'm trying to think of a way to smoke it out if I suspect it's happening.

PLEASE KEEP US POSTED as you pursue this!!

Are you referring to the hand shuffle in the VIP room?

I did catch them. I do have proof thank goodness. I know that I am no one. But. When I have pics and video proof of what they are doing its very hard to explain away. Again Ill say. I stood at the same table with three other witnesses and counted each shoe to a plus 20 count for 3 hours. Impossible to explain away.

Great question. In the VIP room one deck was short the other was not. Auto shuffle in the VIP as well. I stood through 4 shoes at the 50 min table and noticed it was every other deck.

They can get away with it on the min tables but also they hit soft 17s on the low min tables as well so there again. Being a short deck, the dealer pulling avg of 4 cards per shoe to hit 18s thru 20s when basic strategy will tell a player to stand on a 13 verses a dealer 6 then they pull a 6 card 20. This isnt an isolated hand. Its was every other one.
