Usually when I find a single deck it has good rules but a bad payout of 6:5. The house edge is greater than .43% for the game you specify. I would rather play DD good rules.

I would not play this game. The house edge is too high but it's the poor penetration that clinches it. You can do much better at $25 minimums.

    Thank you.
Would you still not play if it were just one or two people playing?

These are Reno rules with poor pen.

If they use a cut card at 50% don't play. Because of the cut card effect you will get more rounds in negative counts one less round in positive counts when many small cards come out early. Even without a cut card you need to count the number of rounds each time as dealers can preferential shuffle when no big cards come out early. If this happens, its time to move on.

It they deal 5 rounds consistently to you heads up it's not a great game but possibly playable for a short period with a large spread. Getting down a large spread without a preferential shuffle is the trick. Likely not a good idea if the store is in your regular rotation with other playable games.

If you can add a hand or another player joins for two player hands per round with four rounds it's a decent game and would only require a modest spread. Another player joins with three hands per round it's not worth playing. .

    You can find better

Wendover SD is doa, rsa, h17, Ro7, much better. If you can spread massively on your game, you get ev but variance could be a killer. I would play it if it was the only game in town and didn't care about back offs.

    Thank you
I'm vacationing with my family in South Lake Tahoe.
i guess I have to find something else to do in the evening with kids
asleep at night. It's really horrible here - I mean games.
    The lake is spectacularly beautiful.
they burn one deck in two deck with already terrible rules.
no 6 decks. I think they have $10 8deck game with decent rules.
i think I saw them 4 deck it one time.
does anyone play in Reno/Lake Tahoe area?
If you live near the area, do you just make do with these rules
    or do you travel?

SLT has had horrible games for a few years now. Reno has plenty of playable games, especially for $25. Carson City is a quick drive, better rules and pen; but green chips will attract lots of attention.

Thank you RedSeven. That's too bad, it seems like they could use more business in the casinos.
Everyone loses in the beginning so much, they just stop playing. (I've been hanging around
for a few days) They would make more money stringing people along more with better rules.
i might. Check out Carson City.

I haven't been to Reno in ages but they dealt a 2 deck shoe game face up last time I was there. It was easy money compared to the shoe games I am used to.
