Due to geographic relativity, currently the only games I can play are as follows. 8D H17 DAS RSA Resplit up to 4X(I believe) No surrender. Limits are 10-300 and occasionally 15-300. I am well aware the conditions are not great but like I said it is the only game available to me. I am looking for advice as to the best count for an 8 deck game such as this and betting advice. There is virtually no heat in this casino. I know I can find much better games if I travel, but this is what I have any any helpful advice would be great. Thank you

Well, I'd recommend counts that are more suited towards shoe games, with greater focus on Betting Correlation rather than playing efficiency. Since there is low heat risk, spread as heavy as your bankroll can allow.

    Edit: H17 or S17?

Edit 2: I'm not sure about your experience level. If it's your first count I'd recommend Hi Lo or REKO.

Dreadfully H17, don't know how I missed that one. I have learned Hi Lo (working on indexes) and have studied REKO quite a bit, and feel quite comfortable with both.

You didn't mention penetration. Is the game playable? Are you proficient with any particular count? Do you have a bankroll that can handle table max? Hi-Lo should do it. Spread table min to table max, employ the I18 and wong out of negative situations.

If the pen is 7/8 or better the game isn't that bad. If more than 1 deck is cutoff the game becomes unplayable very rapidly and understand that even 1.25 decks cutoff is right on the edge of that line. If it's a 6.5/8 game or worse you'd be better off not playing at all.

That is what I thought. The dealers are not regulated much on this so I have noticed that some give excellent pen (around 7 and a little better). It differs from dealer to dealer greatly and I try to only play with the dealers that give excellent pen

Seems like we're all assuming this is a play all approach. If you wong aggressively it becomes very playable even with worse pen levels. You'll need to have lots of time to wong 8 deckers though.

It is a small casino so backcounting is a bit hard. But once at the table I can often sit out strings of hands at low counts. A lot of people in this casino sit out stings of hands out of frustration so I just follow their lead when I need to, take a call and so on. There are generally only a few tables open at once though -___-
