I would get a car if you don't already have one. I know how brutally hot those summers get and how cold it can get in the winter, in either extreme I wouldn't want to be outside very long. I think finding a place to live near the casinos you want to play in would be helpful to. In Vegas that shouldn't be a problem unless your mobility impaired.

MHB have you tried calling a casino host in Vegas or have you talked to the hotel front desk of the property you want to stay at to see if they have a shuttle that will transport you from McCarran Intl Airport right to the front door of the casino for just giving them your business. Probably be your best bet to stay at the casino, from there you could taxi around. If you know people in Vegas you could also rendezvous with them once you get there.

In certain circumstances I have heard of patrons living at the casino. In one case it was an elderly woman who lived at this certain casino for a little over 3 years, not sure what her whole situation was but I am sure she was collecting Social Security, was alone, and negotiated a deal with the casino. In another case I knew of a poker player who lived in a casino's RV park for several years, not sure how long he had been living in their RV park but he was a regular lmao. It's hard to forget a familiar face.

On the rare occasions the old team drags me away on a plane we get a limo to pick us up at the airport. The casino host arranges this. We play a diverse set of games and at least one of us will have the clout from playing to get the comps for the group. I prefer to have my own wheels but it does save money to have everything for free. When its just me I rent a car or drive my own there.

yes, actually I stayed at a casino off the strip this week comped by a casino
host and they have a shuttle that left us off in a street at fashion show mall. then I scooted
into wynn's hotel casino. at that point I came to conclusion that it would
not be practical or easy to scoot around to other nearby casinos such as encore.

I started thinking how difficult to get around to other casinos with the sidewalks,
very wide streets that are not user friendly etc.

so I think I should stay at casino hotel that is in a cluster. from map it seems
like there are several clusters on the strip. please advise.

It seems like people have offered their advice when it comes to staying in a group of casinos lumped together. I can only tell you to check out a map, or ask someone who lives there because I do not. It would be easier getting around if you knew people there in Vegas for sure. Depending on how your doing on the tables, I would just pay for a cab if you really want to venture out considering that you are mobile impaired.

That's cool that you like going to Vegas but realistically would it be more cost effective to play at casinos in your home state of California? The money your going to use for a round-trip ticket can be bankroll money for the BJ tables. I'm not sure how much your spending for that ticket and how your setting up your trip, such as being planned a month in advance or is it at the last minute which can drive up the price of that round-trip airline ticket. Getting rooms and food comped definitely helps out but you are going to have to make it up on the BJ tables to win back that airplane ticket, and that is if things are going according to plan. Staying in your own backyard may not be such a bad idea. I know they must have a lot of casinos in California.

Why do you choose to venture out to Vegas when it seems like your on a limited budget? If your on a limited budget and playing from behind before you even step into the casino then you can boost your Bankroll by staying local. Bust up the local joints then think about Vegas when you don't have to think about a budget. Besides, who ever stays on a budget?

    Revenue - expenses

HC = hole carding. I would think one of them would contact you, if they're reading this thread.

Maybe he wants to try using a huge spread and doesn't want to burn his local casino? Going to a cluster of casinos in Vegas he can spread big, change casinos, then return after shift changes? If that's the case, the only problem with that plan is I'd imagine there are not a lot of big spreading blackjack players in scooters, making him easily identifiable.

He means a hole carding team, to which you would be a very valuable asset.

yes, that is it, spread large in casinos of a cluster and get a room in one of these casinos.
there is an excellent casino to play locally for me but I don't want to over expose myself.
thus, I am looking to vegas to diversify.

being in a scooter I don't look like a typical card counter.

from my map it appears that sahara blvd., spring mountain rd., flamingo rd., and Tropicana ave.,
divide the strip into 4 clusters. it seems like each cluster has at least one low cost hotel casino.
the Riviera, circus circus in one cluster, harrahs, quad, flamingo in next cluster,
ballys in next cluster, and Excalibur in last cluster. does this sound correct?
    please advise.
