    True Count Calculator

What's better for a novice as far as TC Division, Round, Truncate, or Floor?

And, My True Count seems to be off:

When I go into the True Count calculator and see the TC Division is set to Round, under Counts it says: Remaining Decks 4, Running Count 2, True Count 2. Shouldn’t it be 3?

When I switch it to Floor, it says: Remaining Decks 4, Running Count 15, True Count 3. Shouldn’t it be 3?

Exactly which Settings am I supposed to check?

    Thank you.

    Flooring is always best.

    Truncating is nearly as good.

    Do NOT round.

If rounded … 2 divided by 4 equals 0.5 That comes to a nice neat ZERO under all circumstances. Not 2 and not 3.

Yes, Sorry! The RC was 9, in fact.

Would you recommend Rounding, Truncating, or 95%, whatever that is, for Deck Estimation?

Round always. In fact, I may remove the option.

Norm, on page 87 of Modern Blackjack discussing FELT, it says to round to the nearest deck, divide into the running count and then floor the result. Is this how the indexes for FELT were determined and how they should be played?

Norm, you replied yes to the following:

Playing Hi-Lo would you play the same way in the Casino?
This will give you a higher average bet as the divisor for decks will be a smaller number

Different strategies use different betting ramps. Also, the divisor will be the same.
