    Feasability of a national network?

    Hello,

New to this forum, but have been around the tables for about 3 years now. I've been putting together a network of advantage players and we've had marginal success so far (only began a month ago). We've mustered support from a community of about 200 members in Detroit, a few out of the New England region, and a few more along the West Coast. The biggest obstacle I've found is that the ordinary casino-goer doesn't care to understand the rationale behind such a project, they've just come to "have fun" [reads: throw their money away.]

After stumbling upon the Detroit community, I was wondering if there were more that existed and whether or not a network of this size (goal of 1,000 members) would ultimately be achievable and sustainable? If you're interested in more information on the whole project then feel free to take a look at the site: aces-and-faces.com.

    Best Regards,
    A&F

So if I read that site correctly, you have over 200 members and your current bankroll is $25k?

No wonder you're trolling for members and asking for monthly member fees.

Well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... but "imitation" right down to actually cribbing graphics files?

    http://static.wixstatic.com/media/90...0_0.00_gif_srz

Hmm... not so much, I guess.

Hey, man...! Go make your own image files! C'mon! LOL

For what it's worth, I suppose the OP is referring to our group when he says "Detroit" but we don't have anything to do with this new "national network" operation. This seems like someone looking to do something similar to what WE are already doing on a LOCAL ONLY "regional" -- focused on Detroit-area serious but part-time only skilled players -- but "national network" instead. Whatever works for ya... good luck with that.

Anyway, WE recently got our 300th registered user on ********************.com forum but MOST members are still classified as "Visitor", after everyone was down-graded in privileges (from full Associate level) after our REBOOT last October. The remaining full-access "Associate" level members, who are apparently more serious about actually DOING something with us (who actually understand our project plan) are much less in numbers... only about a dozen at the moment, honestly. But certain elements of this crew are actually getting some good stuff done lately, and we'll have more 'news' soon I'm very sure...

In any case, go ahead and copy us if you like... good luck. (FWIW your site still needs a lot of work, in my opinion, before you should've gone LIVE with it. And lose all that Flash-based nonsense, ugh... this is not 1987, man...)

Anyway, do your thing, & we'll be here doing what we do, step by step, getting the casino's money, LOL

    -DBJT

P.S. Anyone on our site who's been downgraded to "Visitor" remember you CAN still re-activate your account status back up to full-Associate level... check info on the Forum about that if you forgot.

Not sure how wise it is to advertise on your site how after someone pays you money, you give them access to pirated materials.

Quite right. If they actually have all this stuff on their site, they're criminals. Link removed.

No, there has never yet been any charge for anything on our site.

Furthermore, I have never accepted any money from anyone, for any reason. Although I've had a couple offers (one fairly substantial)... so far I've refused them all. We're not gonna take in any outside funds until everything is well in place to make use of it properly.

However, with that said, YES of course our plan is *eventually* to have participating members contribute to team bankroll... but it will be only a minimal, almost 'token' amount, and it will be the same amount equally from everyone, as co-investors in the project.

We've established a multi-stage plan to expand operations that I fully expect will take several years to grow to fruition... and the early stages of this plan are ALL financed by means of *half* of my own personal blackjack bankroll. This includes cost of operating the website and all related expenses, as well as the actual playing bankroll for the initial group of "Founders" team members to work with.

As we expand from GREEN... to BLACK... to PURPLE (hopefully!) only at 'black' and above will the membership bankroll funding plans enter into it. The idea is that we'll have well-established policies and procedures and a proven track record in place long before anyone is asked to contribute Dollar One to this project.

For NOW, all we need from our members, is time & attention... a willingness to participate and to get involved, to make an effort to understand the entire project plan, to help the project grow... and most of all, an ability to meet up in person (at least in small groups that you can control yourself) to get to know each other, to get skills and reputation established, and to simply begin to work together towards the larger goal of common benefit (and profit!) that the PLAN has in store for us all.

However, I really don't want to say any more here.

Bottom line, for anyone interested in TRYING to be a FOUNDER for us, you're invited to try, at no cost other than the aforementioned "time" and "effort".

You don't have to actually "succeed" either... but you DO just have to TRY.

That's all we're asking for, no money.

But in some ways, maybe that's actually asking for MORE than just simple money, LOL.

Anyway, FULL DETAILS are available on our forum for anyone interested (especially if you live in the SE-Michigan area or within whatever is a reasonable driving distance of Detroit for you)

IF you're already a registered member, c'mon back and check it out (again?) but if you're NOT registered as a "Visitor" on our forum yet, then you can do that too, for free, and learn all details about what we're working on...

Dont take this the wrong way. I dont think you are a fraude or anything like that, but I think that what you are doing is ridiculous (Im not sure this is the word that I want to use since it sounds pretty aggressive, but I cant think of a better one).

You are running a forum and some sort of team building site thats been up for who knows how much time and are still to play a hand of blackjack?
What are you waiting for? What is it you are going to do that needs so much planning? Are you going to put all of your team members to play at a space casino in mars?

It took me 4 months to start a team that started playing at high black level and after 6 months of activity we currently have 17 active players that are seeing heavy action 10 days of each month.

It looks to me you are deluding yourself in thinking you are actually building something when in reality you are doing nothing. BJ pros are at the tables, playing and making money, not a site discussing theory or preparing for a 5 year plan to take over the world.

Again, my intention is not to pick a fight with you or anything like that and Im sorry if somethings I write sound aggresive, but english is not my native language so sometimes I cant find de way to express exactly what I want to say. Anyway, this is my opinion on what you are doing after seeing you post many times and checking your site. It looks like you are a bunch of kids who saw the movie 21, got mesmerized by card counting and realize you dont have enough money to support your play. If this wasnt the case, you guys wouldnt be wasting your time in a website, youd be inside a casino playing.
