While chit-chatting with dealer about the crazy play of another player (yes, there were other players ), I commented how bizarre it was for the other player to be betting $1000 and be doubling 13 v 5. Dealer said “he may have been counting.” Playing along, I said I couldn’t imagine any situation where it would be right to make that double. Dealer said “if the count was high, it would be”…… now you know

    and he replies:

yeah, I'm playing with the house's money

    truly a classic

"A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. The clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that's just how the world will come to an end: to general applause from wits who believe it's a joke."

Not exactly the same, but similar. 007 (Roger Moore) warned that there was a nuclear bomb ticking in this circus wagon during the circus show, and the US Army official at first thought it was a joke (as a part of the circus show) because 007 used a clown costume as a disguise.

That's what I was referring to. Did I pick the wrong Bond movie?
