    We see that the theory of probability is, at bottom, only common sense reduced to calculation;
    it makes us appreciate with exactitude what reasonable minds feel by a sort of instinct,
    often without being able to account for it.

    Pierre Simon LaPlace as quoted in The theory of blackjack by Peter Griffin

    I've toured Hawaii several times. to me, Hawaii is the most wonderful place in the world to live, but I'm not moving to Hawaii
    Why wouldn't you move there if you love it so much?

    I don't live where I grew up. I've moved a few times in my life, though probably less than average. Several of those moves were job or education related. I currently live where I find my interests and needs are best met. If I lived in a place I always complained about (weather, lifestyle, or some other reason), I'd move.

    Too much movement has its price. I lived in 8 states, 23 cities and 31 residences (houses, apartments, condos) over the last 50 years. Unfortunately, it left me with no close friends and meaningful relationships. At least, the people at jobs I worked at did provide communication/interaction but once retired, that area is empty. The missus works now and I take trips, find interaction at casinos.

    Will Rogers:

    Do the best you can and don't take life too serious.

    Never miss a good chance to shut up.

    There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

    I will speak to you in the 3rd person quoting Tommy Chong (Cheech and Chong) from their Classic The Corsican Brothers) - I will bang my head on the floor, until forgiven!

    My apologies, can’t find a link.
