    Peter Griffin was certainly an exceptional "reasoning" mathematician. Additionally, his ability to reason belies the implication that emotion controls reason more than vice versa-at least for him.

    Your question about Griffin pushed me to look again at The Theory of Blackjack. He had some memorable quotes at the beginning of each chapter. Since this thread is about quotes, I am adding some of them here.
