    True count calculation

A lot of people say it is only necessary to calcúlate the true count when there is a deviation or a betting decisión, but is it posible to calcúlate for example 23/3 in fractions of a second ori s it better to keep a continuous count of the true count during the game?

You don't need to be able to calculate that within a split second. You can take a second or two to make your decision. Practice with flashcards at home to be able to make those division problems much easier and quicker. One set of flashcards, label them something like 1-40, and another set label them 1-6 (with intervals of 1.0 or 0.5, depending on if you do full-deck of half-deck estimation). Grab one card from each pile, divide, and sooner or later, you'll be a dividing king!

You don't even need to know how to do division. With 2 decks left TC 0 to 10 in terms of RC: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20. You play enough and you know what RC's are what TC's for given penetrations. You can practice easily. Estimate number of decks remaining and state the TC above and below the RC. For example 6 decks left RC +23 TC is between +3 (RC 18) and +4 (Rc +24). With 5.5 decks left TC +4 (RC +22) TC +5 (RC +27.5). Just learn the sequences. Then practice instant recognition of TC by RC and current pen. No math is needed at the table. You just know the TC instantly.
