Is it possible to use a running count only system with Spanish 21 8D? (Starting at RC -32)

Certainly possible but that system is fairly weak. It is presented in "The Pro's Guide to Spanish 21 and Australian Pontoon" available on ebay.

I have the book and have studied it. If I were to just use the running count system would it be accurate enough for betting descisions and indexes? I don't have CVCX to do a sim on it.

Katarina Walker's unbalanced Hi-Lo is extremely weak,

Counting by R. C. alone would be weak in extremis.

Varying your play by the True Count is more important,

by far, than it is in an ordinary shoe game of Blackjack.
