    Good run of cards...this time!

Rode the bike to my local casino with the girlfriend, spent the night(everything comped, of course!). Playing red and strict BS, still learning to count, was doing ok, but was invaded by a few ploppies who were really bugging everybody(do I split those 5's?, etc., etc.). I kept looking at the pretty dealer at the high limit table, nobody over there, so I took my 8 measly green chips and went over, and walked away 20 minutes later with two purple ones. All told I turned $300 into $2400 for the trip...I know, variance can catch me, actually it already has. Went out and bought a new Mathews bow to avoid giving it back. CVBJ is ordered, so now to learn to count...

Btw, if you were playing where i think you were, the quarter game that you moved over to play, has a higher house edge than the nickel game you were playing. But yes Norms software is great. You sound like you are very realistic and that is a good thing in this game.

Congrats on your win but I would not be in such a hurry to give it back. Use the money you have won to start your bankroll. Those big runs can be decieving enough to think that you can beat this game without an advantage, you can't in the long run. Learn to count, practice like hell and go back when you are properly prepared. Your bankroll will thank you. You need a much larger bankroll than you probably think so keep what you have, add to it when you can. $100 bills are your bullets and you are at war, when you run out of bullets you lose :-) so go in with as much ammo as you can. If you alredy know BS and how to operate in a casino environment then you should be able to pick counting up in about 4 to 6 weeks if you dedicate yourself. Good luck in your endevour.
