Depends, if you get lucky it will last a few hours. If you get really lucky you can actually win some.

However, if lady luck is not on your side, you may be done in a half hour.

It will probably be somewhere in between, so go ahead and have a good time and chalk it up as entertainment and a learning experience.

If the rules are decent, if you know BS, and if you avoid a run of negative variance( aka bad luck), twenty minimum bets should keep you in the game for hours, provided your minimum bet is also your maximum bet.

I have sat down to play and lost 20 minimum bets in 5 minutes before using perfect basic strategy just flat betting. But i have also started with 3 or 4 bets and turned it into 100 bets. So it all depends on what cards you get. Usually that is enough for a few hours. But safer would be 40-50 flat bets, so about $120-$150.

It's all down to variance. The worst you can do is lose every hand, so figure 20 hands in a row, figure whether you're playing alone or not, and that's about the minimum possible amount of time. So it depends on your local conditions. A good amount of the time you should be fine, but it's not 100% for sure.
