Chucke: confused about 17 vs. A among others

    Don,
I use KO. In light of all of the H17, 6 dk games now in LV, can you recommend changes to the Preferred matrix as stated in the KO book. I have already made the "basic" changes such as double 11vA and double A8v6 and sur. 15vA and double A7v2. I'm not sure what to do with surrender 17 Vs. A. (it seems to be "basic" but should it be at the key count?) nor am I sure if I should move some plays from pivot to key.

I moved from hi-low to ko several years ago and find ko much easier to use but finding answers to questions (like the ones above) about ko is more difficult. With hi-low I could go to any number of books to find answers but not so with ko.

I think this is a reverse index; you surrender if the count is below a certain index. I don't have all the K-O indices catalogued, but maybe Norm or someone else has one already calculated for you. If you get the software, you can generate all your own indices.

Right. That's because not too many books incorporate K-O and the indices.

That doesn't generate indices. You'll need CV Data for that.
