Plus24: Question for Norm on CV Drills

    Norm,

I have CVBJ 3.0 and discovered what I think is a problem with the drills over a year ago when I was teaching counting to some people. I wasn't active on these boards then so I never posted a question about this. In drilling recently I came across the problem and remembered having trouble a year or so ago with it. You may have fixed it in V. 4.0 (I know. I'll be upgrading soon! ).

In drilling for Basic Strategy, you may drill Hard DD only, Soft DD only, or Splits only with no problem. However, you cannot drill the Hard Hit/Stand or Soft Hit/Stand only. Split and Double hands will show up and you can only press Hit or Stand.

Is there a way around this or am I missing something?

They show up to drill you in the case that you cannot Split or Double.

    Norm,

Thanks for the response. It would be nice, however, to have the option of just drilling the hard stand/hit and soft stand/hit tables without double and split hands included.

New players should be able to learn each table separately so that they only have to drill small segments of material at a time. Most BJ games I know of allow splitting and doubling.

It is confusing for a new player to be drilling hard stand/hit hands and have to included split and double hands that he/she will later have to change when moving on to the double and split tables for drilling.

I may have changed this in V4. Have to look.
