BJ Majish: Late Surrender, Except vs. Ace

According to Trackjack, the Alberta casinos have a LSnA rule (Late Surrender, except vs. Ace). (Unfortunately, the reports are 2 years old!)

In the Casino Verite products, I can find only Late Surrender. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set this rule in CVBJ, CVCX, and CVData?

    Thanks.

For now, the easiest would be to change the strategy to not allow this play.

    Thanks for the reply, Norm.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying, though. Are you suggesting running the simulation without surrender?

According to Wong, most of the surrender advantage comes from surrendering 16 vs. 10, which is allowed in this case. It seems to me that if LSnA is allowed bun cannot be simulated as such, it would make more sense to run the simulation with late surrender enabled, since inability to surrender against ace would presumably have a small effect.

Am I making sense? Can anyone tell me the value of surrender against ace? Wong does not mention this rule, and, of course, none of the online advantage calculators do, either.

No. Run it with surrender. But change the strategy so that it won't surrender against an Ace.

    Ah...gotcha. That makes sense.

    Thanks very much!
