About 1 in 52.24. Think about that next time preferential shuffling comes to mind

You need to stipulate what hand or round we're drawing on. For example, if you stipulate 50% penetration, but this is the first hand off the top, then the odds are still 50%. :-)
Or, did you average the odds over all hands, down to 50% pen?

As the question was stated, round is unknown, thus you must assume overall odds. That would indeed be the average.

overall odds--by that I take it you are refering to actual percentage results per a simulation of a million or 20 hands?
And if we were to offer 52.1 to 1 odds to a proposition bettor I should have an edge of .14%? Gee, let's get together a few guys with some money and open a casino!

Such is the problem with attempting to use formulaic math alone in calculating the odds for bets like Over/Under or Royal Match. If I ever wrote a BJ book, I think I'd put that question an answer on the front cover just to get people thinking.

Interesting claim, and I believe you...but it seems illogical though.
