    Zenfighter: Man vs computer whiz.

As per today, I'm more impressed with Norm Wattemberger's personal qualities, than for his proven programming abilities.

    Hats off!, my dear friend.

    Sincerely

    Zenfighter

    bfbagain: Well, while we're singing

    praises, let's add some:
    1)Courage of convictions
2)Committment to the Advantage Community; and a note: Who would like to make a wager that ALL the individuals who have decided to attack or at least have aired public disagreements with Norm....have Norm's software. And probably at one time or another have asked for his support. And I'm certain he provided it, knowing that he could probably do damage to them, but has chosen to maintain his high standards and committments (to privacy).
3)Unparalled support of products and services
4)Availability to assist in solving or advising solutions to problems without monetary rewards, but as a committment to further knowledge for all.

These are to name a few.

I don't engage in idol worship, nor would anyone label me as a sychophant, but in Norm's case, he deserves all the accolades and respect that one can give in this (really schizophrenic) community.

And FWIW, he doesn't get enough, but that's me.

    Hats off Norm.

    cheers
    bfb

    Norm Wattenberger: Thanks guys

Just pissed off. But I?ll let you in on a secret. We tend to egocentrically think that these forums comprise the bulk of the BJ world. But, fewer than 5% of my purchasers have ever heard of any of the forums. I walked into a New York bar last night, far from any casino, and happened to have a copy of David?s book. Put it on the bar and the guy sitting next to me, that I have never seen before, starts talking about card counting. My point is that the slander that flows like microbes from the mouths of those that enjoy causing mayhem really doesn?t cause nearly the damage that they desire. And putting up a website for the purposes of harming others will ultimately result in more harm to yourself. We simply aren?t that significant. Last month I sat in La Scena at the Venetian (yeah I like bars.) It occurred to me that everyone at the BJ Ball together cost the casinos less money last year then the cost of that one bar. And when they get tired of it; they?ll rebuild it. And when they get tired of the building; they?ll blow it up. That?s how insignificant we are. The World does not rotate around BJ forums.

But what impresses me is how little Viktor has bothered to respond to the torrent of lies about him. He knows all the aliases used by his attacker and yet has kept silent. I couldn?t do that.

I'm not as experienced in the blackjack world as many a person here, but I would have to agree. I know I called Norm numerous times, asking him all kinds of questions about CV, and sometimes about blackjack in general and then just thanking him and hanging up! Not that generosity demands a reward (it wouldn't be generosity if it did!), but if it makes you feel any better I eventually did go ahead and buy some software, so I wasn't a complete waste of your time! And it really is great stuff. Thank you.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
