    1st base: Which Indices?

Wondering if someone could help, in BJA3 there are "Illustrious 18" or "Catch 22" indices listed in Table 5.1, 10.1, and 13.11. All are similar but not exactly the same. I realize that different conditions may change the indices, I seem to find mainly 6-deck H17 in the places where I play. Which should I commit to memory, am I missing something that should have told me why each table is a little different?

    Thanks in advance,

The I18, Chapter 5 indices were taken from Wong's "Pro BJ" and were for the 4-deck game. They aren't perfect. The Chapter 13 "Catch 22" are good, but are truncated. The Chapter 10, p. 213 indices were run specifically for each game considered, are floored, and were generated using the latest technology from Norm's CV. Use them with the assurance that they are 100% accurate.

Thanks, Don. So many of the "reasons why" have begun to be clear while reading your book. Now to top it off, I get a really quick response from you on a question. Just doesn't get any better than this.

Flip: Rules don't change these indices?

So, to get this straigt, under the 6- & 8-Deck column, we can use these indices for any 6+ game no matter what the rules are?

Flip: Forget it. Don't reply ;)

Didn't catch the little not on the bottom. I should RTFM before I post, eh?

    * Where two indices are shown, the second is for h17.
