Hi everybody:

I just got back from my cruise on Carnival and I did very well, but I played under the worst conditions I have ever played.

It was 8 decks 62.5% pen with the following rules. DOA, DAS and split as many times as you wish.

It appeared that they figured that as long as they were cutting off 3 decks out of 8 they didn't care what you as a player did.

They had only two types of tables.

1. A 5 dollar table with a maximum bet of $50.00.

2. A $25 dollar table with a max bet of $300.00.

Well I played at the $25.00 dollar table and could have cared less if they knew I was counting. I structured all my bets to the count and did absolutly nothing to hide what I was doing. I felt, if they busted me, so what.

So I employed a flat bet of $25.00 consistantly and when the count was flying high I used a 1 to 24 spread. Going from $25.00 to 2 hands of $300.00.
It was not as though I broke the bank, I was up $4,400.00 when I came home.

What my question to the Mathguys is just this.
Was I just lucky? Or is a game like that beatable with a 24 to 1 spread?

Regards,

Hollywood
