Poet: Catch 22 - Practicing
I'm concentrating on 6 dk, limited to Catch 22, drilling on Hi-Lo with the following TC method from the Bishop?s Blackbelt tip #3 on TC (p. 60): RC/index=max remaining decks. I glance at the distance between the top of the discards and an imaginary 6d highwater mark to gauge this. Question #1: For Catch 22 play deviation, is the Bish's instruction correct to divide the RC by the index for the play in question and if the number of decks remaining is equal or fewer, make the deviation?
#2 Is there a concise, consistent expression to "internalize" that covers all BS deviation for example 16 vs 10, 12 vs 4, 13 vs 2, LS, etc?
#3 If I get the game options set correctly shouldn't the indices for CVData's stock strategy tables match BJA2 C-22 (p.317 EV column)? (So far they don't seem to).
Thank you.

All of the stock tables in CVData use the indexes found in the respective books since these are the indexes most commonly used. You would need to change them to match the BJA indexes.

This may sound backward, but I would like to implement Catch 22 with R-A, i.e.: master that and limit my play deviation to it. I'm planning 6 dk, S17, DAS/DAX, LS, 1-12/16, play all. To use the Catch 22 R-A indices in BJA2 p. 317, don't I need to use HiLo tags (card values)? It sounds like the answer is yes, but I need to manually change the indices in CVD. Are there possibly other counts that would accomplish my Catch 22 set up already in CVD?
