J Morgan: To others with Comb. Analyzers
In a 1-deck H17 noDAS RS2 game, I get:
99 v. A:
Stand=-0.1861304887
Split=-0.1928277019
Note that I'm splitting once only (as Wong does in PBJ, p. 303).
Can anyone confirm?
While I'm asking, how about these 6-deck S17 plays?
12 v. 4 (exclude 66 v. 4 and AA v. 4):
Stand=-0.2088368322
Hit=-0.2115304981
9 v. 2 (exclude A8 v. 2):
Hit=0.077180312
Double=0.07000386311
16 v. T (exclude 88 v. T and A5 v. T):
Hit=-0.5348200222
Stand=-0.5401184081
Thanks for the help.

Suggest you go to bjmath.com, Table of Contents, Expected values (lower left), and refer to Cacarulo's work. It doesn't get any better than that, and, except for the number of splits allowed (he does three, to make four hands), all of your other questions can be answered.

I have confirmed that your figures are right for 9-9 vs. A. For the others, I would need to know if you are counting multi-card hands because if you are , it can get very complicated and not very important in 6 deck games.

Thanks.

My expectations are for the initial two-card hand, assuming that subsequent hit/stand decisions are according to total-dependent BS (e.g., a total of 12 will always hit against a 2 up, regardless of composition).
Don, those charts are very useful, but last I used them, I recall they didn't quite suit my needs. Perhaps I needed RS2, or maybe it had to do with differences in handling composition-dependent strategies.
(Then, I noticed what appeared to be a horrendous blunder in the charts. To wit, 6-deck S17, A6 v. 2 up. E(Double)=0.003954577924, but reported as 0.00396, I believe. Apparently, the number was rounded first to 0.003955, and then to 0.00396. Is this the notorious double-rounding error?!?!?
Geez, this guy's a maroon--his numbers are worthless!)
Keep the numbers comin', folks!
