Don Schlesinger: Gone for the weekend

I'm off to Boston Friday morning to watch my daughter jump in the ECAC championships on Sunday.

I may have access to a computer (staying with friends), so I'll try to check in. If not, hold down the fort, and I'll see everyone Sunday evening.

I think you may miss out on the action occuring at bj21! Those threads will go down in history, with a pretentious author thoroughly exposed as a fraud. It's one thing to read posts about Singer, Thomason, Scoblete and others, but with May, he purports to being knowledgeable and even tries to associate his work with you and Grosjean. That is what makes these debates so great. I just hope it's not over yet!

No, I'm sure it's not. But watching May joust with Grosjean is like watching Frank Stanton joust with MathProf; it's really a no-brainer. You have one of the most talented researchers in the field toying with an imbecile. Lobotomize James and you may have a fair fight, but I'd still make him the slight favorite! :-).

I've been calling May's bluff for a couple of years, pointing out to all who would listen what an outright charlatan he is.

But also watching "Der Amerikanischer Freund",
shooting bullets over the Atlantic Ocean, isn't
far also to be a nice spectacle, at least for
    me.
Where the hell is the GENTLEMAN from "A day in
the life..." gone. Remember Mr. D.S.(Schlesinger
    no, please!).
Relax a little bit Don. Don't give me that I didn't tell you a month ago!
    Take care

I was in both chat rooms at 8PM central time Sunday evening. I didn't see you...or as a matter of fact I didn't see anyone else either.

Chats are announced ahead of time, as to date and time. To my knowledge, there were no chats scheduled for tonight. They don't take place every week.

Perhaps he was mislead by this statement:

If not, hold down the fort, and I'll see everyone Sunday evening.

Obviously, you meant that you would return by
Sunday evening. You never mentioned that there was a chat.

    Poster's mistake.
