    Mr. Ed: Slots A Fun

I was thrilled to see $1 blackjack tables at Slots A Fun, since my main goal to play at an advantage, without risking much money.

What is the catch at Slots A Fun? If I play $1 with no advantage but use a $5 unit bet will I be kicked out? Is it too crowded to even get a spot at a table? Are players so indecisive it takes forever to play? I've never been to Las Vegas, so you have a suggetion for low limit play if lots A Fun is not a good place?

    Thanks!

Ellis Island and the Western also have $1 BJ. I believe Casino Royale does occasionally, but I have never been. Other than that, $3 will be the lowest you will find.

I haven't been there in over a year, but I remember their 6D games were all $3 minimums. They had a few $1 SD tables (I saw about 4) that were completely packed. The rules only allowed you to double on 9-11.

I played their 6D game and spread from $3-$50 without any heat. I think all of the pit bosses were watching the SD games.

Slots-A-Fun is fine, but you will not find many other places near it that have limits that low.

Downtown is the place to go. If you want to find places with $2-$3 minimums, you will end up in some pretty crappy places. The El Cortez, Gold Spike and Western all have very low minimums. It is also easy to find $5 minimums everywhere downtown. That will also give you the chance to shop around and not be stuck at any one game.

More inforrmation is needed about the game you were playing...I take it you were playing the 6 deck, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split and no surrender, no resplit aces offered? Penetration was to about 1.75 decks? House edge off the top is around .4; seems like a good low limit game and would require a top bet of $12 or so to beat on TC+5 i would think.

I could be wrong, but I believe their SD game is 6:5 blackjack. 6:5 blackjack is not worth playing.

    Highly unlikely.
