Bettie: Las Vegas' new Strip transportation

The link below provides new information on MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) bus line, which started service Wednesday on the Strip. It's a fully-automated, non-rail service that works with optically guided computers. It also has the ability to extend green lights, much like an ambulance, so that it doen't have to stop at every intersection. As someone who spends more time crossing LVB than driving it, I guess my red lights will last even longer.

    Pretty cool stuff!

MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) bus line, which started service Wednesday on the Strip.

Actually, it runs on Las Vegas Blvd. north of downtown, running through North Las Vegas, not on the Strip. Not of much use to visitors, unless they want to go to Jerry's Nugget, Opera House, Silver Nugget, or Poker Palace. :<(

This is what I get for trying to make a post before I've had my coffee! Thanks for the clarification, LVBear.

Then it also runs past the Palomino, right?
And hasn't there been a bus on that route for a long time?

    LVBear584: Yes and Yes.

Then it also runs past the Palomino, right?

Yes. The Palomino is right across the street from Jerry's Nugget.

And hasn't there been a bus on that route for a long time?

    Yes.
