    Kasey: Dollar Craps?

I'm taking my sister and her husband to Las Vegas and they would like to try their hand at craps.

Are there any $1 games left?

    Thanks in advance!

You might try Casino Royale, they usually have lower limit games and are a fun place. Kinda small, tables can be crowded. They are located nextdoor to Harrah's (just north).

Moose: Up to $3 at CR

They used to have $1 craps with 100x odds, which may have been the perfect cover play. 1.4 cents per line bet, make 60 line/pass bets per hour, costs you $1 and your free odds could be as big as needed to make you look like an action hound.

Try the El Cortez. It will have the advantage of being not so crowded, and with the demise of the Shoe, might be the last "old fashioned" casino in town. Just don't play too good at Blackjack..

    Kasey,

Recently, I took a break from my marathon BJ play and went to a low minimum craps game with 10x odds. I only play the don'ts, since that offers the lowest house edge, and I always take the minimum bet on the come out to limit my exposure when the house has the edge. I was getting up on the numbers and taking the odds.

I like to have fun at the craps table and make a lot of comments and just carry on. There was a famous don'ts player who recently died and the crew and indeed all in the casino knew this character. As I loaded up on the numbers I began to call out to his spirit to now allow me to role the seven so I may win and to honor his memory! As soon as I called out for his help I would role the seven on the next throw! This was happening on such a regular basis that the table crew was getting very anxious and nervous and asked me to stop! I and the crew were indeed feeling very spooked. No sooner than I would call upon his spirit I would throw the seven. At least a dozen times! I had had enough and feared that something supernatural was inded happening and I really did not care to call that down upon me or the crew. I decided along with the crew to let this player rest in peace. I left the table with a good deal of money and an experience that belongs on the Sci-FI channel.

    Regards,
    Ouchez.

I'm a beginner craps player, was wondering how this goes over at the table with the other players or dealers when you play the "dark" side (don't pass, don't come).

I figure the dealers don't care if you are tipping them now & then, or including them in your bets. But what about the other shooters that are trying to get a good roll going, they crap out and keep seeing you bet that they will? Ever have any problems from others with this? Is it just a matter of attitude, you know, like showing you are doing your thing and that's the way it is?

The dealers dont care if you play the don't. The other players dont usually care if you play the don't, except when you are throwing. If the shooter is playing the dont, most craps players will stay out for the roll.

you get alot of evil stares and nasty comments. The crew doesn't mind, they know you are a sharp player for playing that way. The house know you are a hard case. They respect you. It is a blast to tip the dealers on the don'ts when there are alot of right bettors, causes some tension, lol!

I like to jabber at the table and will root for the seven. But you best believe people get pissed off at you. They also gloat when you lose. But it is a load of fun.

Try it, you'll like it, just bet smart!

Is there really any greater scurge in the gambling society? LOL

I don't really care..but when I am in the middle of a hot roll...with black and purple spread across the felt.....and some mope comes up right next to you and bets a nickle on the dont..with no odds...and then screams for a 7 or Big Red...it will get a little tense. Dealers have moved them to the other end, I have made some comments (Offered to give him $10 to leave)..but it's all in fun.

NEVER go against a hot shooter. Like I said, bet smart.

The best approach is to be alone at the table, and as a skilled shooter go for the 4 or 10 out of the hole, load up on the odds, and do the 7 set. The truth is the casino can be had at the craps table, under the right circumstances, (readily available), just as easily as they can be had on a good BJ scenario. Few players realize the stunning potential of skilled play on the "Dark Side". I would not be surprised if the casino soon outlawed the bet.

    Ouchez.

What.....are you trying to sell a book? Dice is, and always will be, a negitive expectation game. All the "skill" in the world won't mean squat, if you don't have "luck" on your side. You should be embarrassed to have even made this post.

I'm surprised no one mentionned the one 25 cent craps table with 5X odds in all of Las Vegas! Let's see is anyone knows where? Hint: it's a 40 minute drive from the Strip.
