The exterior/valet area scenes were definitely at Mandalay Bay - a couple of times I caught a glimpse of the Luxor Sphinx in the background.

And of course, large chunks of it were probably filmed on a sound stage at NBC Studios in LA.

Funny, but I thought Montecito was a direct reference to Monte Carlo, and I thought the exterior resembled it. Not sure though.

Knight of Dawn: Re: Absurdity ad nauseum

The absurdity of the program is the root of my cause for concern. The general public is exposed to images of "ruthless cheating gamblers" trying to rob the poor "harmless honest casino" in this porgram. As such, they will identify emotionally with the casino as the hero and villify the gambler as the villan. They will then have a higher tendency to project the same relationship onto experinces away from the TV screen. Suppose a pro gambler is taken into illegal custody in a casino... will anyone who has watched the show attempt to help the gambler? When there is a court hearing how will the judge, jury, and lawyers be influenced? When the casino lobby pushes for legislation to make pro gambling illegal how much public outcry will there be?

In short, my chief objection is that this show appears to be a thinly veiled attempt to influnce public opinion. Even if nobody sat down and planned to manipulate opinion, the effects are the same.
