Kasey: Anyone been to the Rum Jungle?

Looks fun. Is the crowd too young for a couple of forty-somethings?

It is fun, though a little loud for my taste. I'm not a big fan of salsa-type music, though. They have some really great rum concotions (ask for a menu), and at night it turns into a fairly popular nightclub with cover. The crowd I've seen going in to the club seems fairly young, but if you go early like I always do, it's a just a mish-mash of ages/styles/etc. I haven't been to the nightclub. You have to purchase a table (as with many LV clubs) if you want to sit down, which is just silly in my book!

Next door is red square, and they have a great vodka menu (try the rootbeer float), plus the bar is iced, which is a nice touch. The bar area is very small and much more quiet. I've not eaten at either place, btw. Both places are fun, depending on your mood.

Fezzik: Rum Jungle fun but Pricey.

David Mathews and I got stuck for $400 for dinner for four due to some overpriced drinks. Nice place for dinner, but Samba at Mirage is more affordable. RJ probably the play if you like loud music, and you want a late dinner and then dance at the nightclub.

Fast for a day before and after the dinner. It's all you can eat, and a meat lovers paradise.

Please tell me more about Samba's. We saw that on our last trip and have it on our list of places to try.

I've been and had a great time. The food is terrific.
