Mike H: CVCX Back Count & Departure Adj.

I'm not sure I understand what checking the Backcount and Departure Adj box means. If Backcount is checked and -1 is in the box (UBZenII), that means the player enters when the RC is -1 and plays the rest of the shoe regardless of the count? The percentage that comes up is the percentage of hands that will be played? If the Departure Adj box is checked the player will only play counts of -1 and higher, departing any time the RC falls below -1? I understand the number for Departure Adj is how many hands will be wasted looking for a different table.

Thank-you so much to anyone who can clear this up for me.

You wouldn't put -1 in the box for a balanced strategy. No one backcounts and sits down at a neg count. When departure adj is selected, an estimate is made of the SCORE and Win Rate as if you exited the table when the count has dropped to the first row of counts displayed (normally -1.)

Ah, Don points out you were talking about UBZ2. Same answer, but you might put -1 in the box, so long as the counts started at a lower number.
