    MJ: ? Norm ROR calculator

Simple question really. I was wondering if the ROR calculators can be "fooled" into taking expenses into account.

Say the k-f is set at 0.5, with no minimum bet forced. If hourly expenses work out to be 50% of hourly EV, then the counter is affectively playing to 1.0 kelly.

If you were to only change the k-f from 0.5 to 1.0 on CVCX, would the corresponding values in the ROR calculators now produce figures which take expenses into account?

Here is a suggestion for CVData sim session. For every 'x' rounds of play, the counter is penalized 'y' units. This idea might produce accurate figures for ROR and Goal queries which factor in expenses. What do ya think?

Sounds like both of these would not use the correct standard deviation.

Chatted with Don over this off-line. The change to CVData would probably work if the deduction was ignored for all other stats. But it would probably be easier to change the RoR calculator.

Whatever you can manage would be great.

Going back to CVCX, would my idea of adjusting the k-f even produce a ballpark estimate, or should I completely disregard the idea?

Also, for the Goal calculator, if hourly expenses are 50% of hourly EV, would reducing the Trip BR by 50% give an accurate output?

You can't change win EV without changing SD on the main screen or widgets. But you could change EV in the RoR calculator.

Good idea. Would this approach also work for the Goal calculator?

Probably. Although it won't take into account the fact that you are likely to alter your expenses if your bankroll changes dramatically.
