Add the 6:5 blackjack payoff. That game is abominable, but let the users discover just how abominable it is.

While tinkering around with CV last night, I thought it may be functional to add in an option to tip. Maybe some fraction of your unit per hour. This will show those that tip just waht they're losing. Just a thought.

Yeh, CVBJ has had that for ten years. Question is, how to specify it for CVData. It matters as it affects std. dev. Suggestions are welcome. I'll try to come up with some different scenarios.

Neither do I. Suggestions are always welcome in this area. Many attempts are made at user ease including pop-up help balloons, a talking guide, no ascii file editing, modern Windows interfaces (Explorer lists, tool bars, etc.) and 100 pages of Help. But, I'm sure more can be done.

I just bought CVCX & CVData thru this website, it has not been shipped yet! Will there be free upgrade? thanks.

The way this generally works for CVCX and CVData is there will be a free upgrade unless the increase in functionality is great enough for a price increase, in which case I sometimes charge the difference. But, I never make these decisions until the last moment.

I'd like to see CVIndex and CVCX support more of the rules that CVData supports and I'd like to see CVData support more of the rules that CVBJ supports, especially variations like SF21 and SP21.

I'd like CVIndex to be capable of generating the basic strategy for a rule set, not just indices.

I'd like to be able to create a BJRM one-second sim file with CVData.

I'd like to be able to specify the maximum count for my max bet in CVCX.

I'd like CVCX to appear in the Windows Taskbar and Alt-Tab list when it's running.

CVIndex and CVData rules will be expanded. CVCX can handle CVData rules if you have a license for both. Set up the rules in CVData and enter CVCX from the CVData Tools menu. CVCX will use the rules set in CVData.

    It does now.

You'll need to talk to John about that.

Could you explain this one more deeply? If you force the max bet to a lower count, it will no longer be optimal. You can force it by changing the custom bet spinners.

Ahh. That's a goofy Windows thing. It does if you call it from CVData, but not if you call it directly. I'll take another look.

    thanks,

    Parker: What I'd like

I'd like to see the entire CV suite ported to Linux.

I'd also like to see single deck games dealt to the last few cards, the return of 99 cent buffets, gas for under a buck a gallon, and world peace.

    . . . as long as I'm dreaming. :-)

Hi Norm. Another incredibly speedy response. I'm beginning to wonder whether you actually sleep!

    > CVIndex and CVData rules will be expanded.

    Excellent.

My bad. I rebuilt my computer recently and I probably only installed CVData, not CVCX. Incidentally, any chance that CVJournal data could be stored in "My Documents" so that I won't forget to back it up again. :-(

    > It does now.

    Oops. My bad again.

    > You'll need to talk to John about that.

I thought you might say that. :-/

An equivalent to BJRM's "MaxBet(x) by TC/RC of" combo box. When I'm wonging in at +1, I don't want to wait until +9 to place my max bet, optimal or not - I'll be dead by then.

    That'd be nice.

Interesting idea. The problem is how to migrate old users as I would want to move all user files and there can be a very large number.

The bet shouldn't be made as it dramatically increases risk. You can use the manually adjust feature to see. There is no need to spread as much when back-counting.

As soon as there is World peace, I'll port to Linux. BTW, downloads.com has stopped accepting Linux software. The future of Linux apps still doen't look good to me.
