Don Schlesinger: Netscape 7.0
As some of you may know, I not only use Netscape, rather than IE, as my browser, but I have never upgraded from version 4.7, which I still use.
When I sign on, I am constantly being urged by Netscape to download the new version 7.0, which is free and which keeps all previous bookmarks and browser preferences during the install. What's more, I can keep my old 4.7, in case I want to go back.
So, apparently, there's no downside. Or is there?
Two questions: 1) Can installing 7.0 possibly cause me any unforeseen new problems or aggravation? 2) For those of you who have 7.0, does it run just as fast, loading pages, as 4.7, and is there any reason NOT to upgrade?
Thanks for your input.

Don Schlesinger: I've done it!
Have installed Netscape 7.0. Will let you know my findings, if anyone cares.

I use Netscape 7.0 in my Windows box and there are no downsides. Moreover, it's faster than v4.7.
Hope this helps.

Good to know. Thanks. I'm using it now. I don't see the faster speed, but I'll take your word for it! :-)
