    You must have outlook configured to show previews of the attachments in the outlook window.

    You can turn this off.

    Also a virus file can lay on your computer and not cause any harm until the activity that executes is is taken.

    Some of these are clicking on the attachment in outlook.. some are caused by the preview option in outlook..

    Go to the Norton website and keep your virus software updated and you will have few problems..

    But if someone comes up with a new program that the anti virus program does not recognize it will still get through...

    to tell the truth most virus scares are over blown..
