I hate to admit this, I type with two fingers! Microsoft makes four different versions of its Internet keyboard, two labeled the "Pro" model, and two with split keyboards.

And so, the split keyboard is not something I could get accustomed to. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with what I have (traditional style), and it's a big improvement over the last keyboard.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my secretary loves hers.

However, it feels awkward to me. I'm sure it is easy to get used to it, but then a regular keyboard would feel awkward.

I spend a lot of time on the road (I'm typing this from a hotel room). If anyone makes a laptop with a split keyboard, I haven't seen it. :-)

I took typing in seventh grade, so that was, oh, 44 years ago. I learned touch-typing and can still hear the teacher intoning, "jjj space; kkk space," etc. I typed correctly for a while and then gave up, for whatever reason.

I marvel watching my son and daughter type. They are incredibly fast, as I suppose all this generation must be. I'm not really that slow, but, obviously, I can't keep up with those who type correctly.

Alas, I don't think I have the motivation to change at this late date, but I very much appreciate your concern! Thank you.

True, I use a laptop on the road as well, and no, I don't bring my natural with me. It's still better typing on the split keyboard when it's available though.

Ah... I didn't think to ask how many fingers you type with before recommending the natural pro.

    Enjoy your new keyboard!
