Is there a way to play first base on the ultra real table game of CV. It seems to only alow seats 2&3.

Not in ultra-real mode. BTW, why do you want to play first base?

Well I have always read First and third bases were the best places to see the table with a straight on glance. I find I can look up scan and be done with it. Being in the middle entails me to look both ways. I know I could look both ways but since I first read this I just do it. I used to believe it was to get the first card coming out but I found that usually the cards fall where they fall. I know now that it is more important find better penetration than seating. I also supect this is common knowledge with the PBs. So I try to sit at first base or third when it is open or the only seat open. Then I hope it is less
obvious. But this is why. If you have other wisdom on this I would be very happy to learn.

First base is a really bad place to sit for beginning counters. Assuming you want to play your hand as accurately as possible, it forces you to count all the cards exposed before playing your own hand, which, for some beginners, is difficult and puts you "under the gun," so to speak.

I recommend the fourth or fifth seat. You're not scrutinized as much as the third baseman, and you have time to think.
