    KennilworthKid: Barona

What is up at Barona right now?

On Los Angeles radio Barona is advertising that they have the best rules for blackjack single & double deck in the country. Last I checked, (August CBJN), they had good rules for the $100 minimum single deck: H17,DS,LS & no mid entry; very good, but the best is a couple of places in New Orleans. I think the double deck is the same rules but at a lower minimum $25. Also, Barona's penetration for single was .6 or only 20 cards (poor), and double deck was .8, or 60 cards (average). Has anything changed this month? The radio ad claims they have upped their limits to $10,000, the best in California, and they say they want high stakes action.

They said that, so help me to Kenny Rogers they did!

They do have the best rules for single deck, at least I've never seen a single deck game anywhere else with DOA, DAS, and late surrender.

The rules at all tables are the same: H17, DOA, DAS, LS. Double deck games with these rules can be found at many other places.

The pen at the single deck game is poor because that is how they protect the game. If the pen suddenly gets even worse, it is their subtle way of letting you know that you aren't fooling anyone with your act.

They have always promoted themselves as the "big action" casino, and you will see a lot of purple and above in the high limit area.

Conditions there generally don't change a lot from one month to the next.

    Barona is a class act.
