    Wildcard: for Parker...

There is a possibility I may be visiting San Diego in the near future...plans unclear just yet.

If you have a few moments I'd appreciate things not too miss when there...I may have 2-3 days. The eye-candy during the day and perhaps bj at night would work. Beaches?

The immediate "plan" is to take the ferry over to Coronado and sight see. Have been to SD once, did Old Town and the trip to Tijuana (never again).

A post here or at [email protected] would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Wildcard

This is a huge topic, which is why I have not responded in a more timely manner. Many entire books have been written on entertainment and things to do/sights to see in San Diego and the surrounding area.

San Diego is the 6th largest city in the USA, and is blessed with a near-perfect climate and miles of beautiful beaches. Without knowing more of your personal interests and tastes, it is extremely difficult to know where to begin.

There are the traditional tourist attractions - the Zoo, Sea World, Mission Bay Park, downtown, Cabrillo National Monument, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and much more.

Lots of beaches - Ocean Beach, where people still think it's the 60's, Mission Beach/Pacific Beach, with a long concrete boardwalk - great people (read: girl) watching. La Jolla - where the Beautiful People (read: rich) hang out. Del Mar - like La Jolla, except more so.

Just about anything having to do with the ocean: You can rent surf boards, boogie boards, snorkeling and scuba gear, jet skis, sailboats, etc. Not to mention good old-fashioned swimming, although the Pacific is a bit cold for my tastes, even in the summer.

Fishing - Sport Fishing boats make half and full day excursions into the Pacific. If fresh water is more to your liking, the lakes that make up the county's reservoir system are stocked with trout, catfish, and bass.

Golf - There are many golf courses in the area, including a couple of world-class ones. Barona and Sycuan casinos have their own courses, that you can earn comps for.

Night Life: The re-vitalized downtown area has a number of clubs in which you can find music and/or mingling to please just about any taste.

There are also a number of, ahem, Gentlemen's Clubs, to satisfy those whose tastes in women run toward the voyeuristic.

And of course, there are the casinos. There are nine different casinos offering blackjack within an hour's drive of downtown San Diego. Some even have decent games.

I could go on (and on and on), but you get the idea. If you have specific questions, I'll be happy to take a shot at them.

Thanks for the time to post, and the info.

If we get to go, I may ask for specifics.

    Thanks,
