davek: two hands?
I have never fully understood when it is best to spread to two (or more!) hands. If one did not care about heat or about pissing off the other players, should one always spread to two hands when the count is good (say TC +3)? Does the number of players at the table impact this decision? Does your spread impact it in any way?
thanks

Shaggy18vw: Re: two hands?
Since nobody has answered this one, I will help you out (maybe). Playing heads up, there is no advantage to playing multiple hands. Unless you do it on the last hand to get deeper penetration. With multiple players, there is a gain in playing multiple hands (betting 75% on each hand for two hands). Now as far as the whys, maybe someone will clarify that for us both. I simply regurgitated info that I read from a thread long ago.

Norm Wattenberger: Comment
I don't disagree with anything you said but thought I'd add a minor comment. With heads-up play, I don't think two hands makes sense in many circumstances. You can get into a rhythem with the dealer that can result in a huge number of hands/hour. And, a good dealer will often respect your play when it is just the two of you.
