    Andrew: Need indices!!!

i'm going to LV next week. I have learned the hi-low counting system with al his indices. Now I have chanced my mind about witch system to use. I think i would be best to use a unbalanced counting system like

K-O. Could someone pls help me with the index of the system?

i know there are pretty good books on the market, only they are not for sell in my country.

    tnx you guys

I seriously doubt that one person in a thousand is capable of learning a new counting system well enough to use in a casino environment in one week.

Stick with Hi-lo - you'll do fine. People have been winning with Hi-lo for nearly 40 years.

You can order books from our online catalog - we ship just about anywhere in the world. For KO, you need Knockout Blackjack, by Ken Fuchs and Olaf Vancura.

Parker's post contains excellent advice. But, if you insist, I keep indexes at the below link that are not the same as KO but work.

Thanks for the advice. It all sounds resonable. My only problem is the true count. I cant seem to calculate it fast enoufg, thats why KO looked so sweet to me.

Ive also bin told that Ko, whitout indices, is a winning game in the long run. Is this true?

Tnx, for giving me something to think about.

    Three suggestions:

    1. Practice
    2. Practice
    3. Practice some more

What you are referring to is called the KO Rookie system. All playing decisions are made according to basic strategy. Your bet is varied according to the running count.

It will indeed give you a small edge over the casino, especially if you select your games carefully.

The KO Rookie system is described in its entirety at the link below. Select the "KO Rookie System" tab in the left frame.

    Magician: Counter's basic strategy

If that's the way you want to go then T-Hopper has devised a "dollar-weighted" counter's basic strategy that performs about 30% better than KO rookie for the same amount of effort. Check out his free T-H Basic Blackjack book online. Best of luck!

    Foster Reed: Question for Norm

Your website skips from double deck to six deck games. What bet ramp would you suggest for someone playing a four deck game?

Sorry, don't have time at the moment to go back to that study. But, the six deck numbers have to be nearly the same.
