    Felix Rue-de-Guerre: Presqe isle

Today was the opening day for table games at Presque Isle in Northern PA.

All new dealers. very slow action. I don't really play much anymore. I only played through 1 shoe.. all tables packed during the day.

    8 decks
10 dollars mins the norm, saw 1 $5 table,
I had a bit less than 1.5 decks pen.
    Late Surrender
    Hit S17
    No RSA

High limit area with $50 tables(I didn't look at this game, but there were empty tables)

Did this game after Double after Split? How many tables would you say there were?

Thanks much for any more info you can provide!

    Yes DAS!

I'm going to say about 8 tables at the low limit. I saw two in the high limit, but there may have been four. If I overlooked a pit there may have been more, but I don't think I did, the place is pretty small.

I wish I was paying better attention. I was not there to play, I was just meeting up with my parents at the buffet. Also... The buffet isn't very good at all.

Surrender is pretty rare on a game like this. The surrender rule is not posted on the plaque. I almost didn't ask.

When I was playing often I would drive the range from Michigan City,IN to Niagara Falls and South to the Ohio river boats. I don't believe I had ever seen surrender offered on a main floor in these parts.

Dog Hand: They hit on soft 17?

    Felix Rue-de-Guerre,

I thought in Pennsylvania the casinos had to stand on soft 17.

    Felix Rue-de-Guerre: you are correct

Yes, certainly, it's S17... Brainfart in original post.

I plan on an early morning visit very soon... maybe tomorrow. If I can find a time when there are empty tables I may start paying them visits. Great BSE and pen.

I will post an exact table count and more on crowding conditions and rules in bot pits when I return.

    Felix Rue-de-Guerre: Update

I visited them in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

12 tables on main floor. $15 mins on most, 1 @ $25. Looked like a deck and a half cut off. All tables were full or near full.

5 tables in high lim pit. 2 were open. $50 mins at both. 1 was full, the other had a single player getting heads up. The high limit area uses 6 decks, but with 2 decks cut off(based on 1 single observation). Unsure of any other differences.

I left without playing a hand. the pen in the high lim sucks and the main floor will likely be forever full.
