    chgobjpro: FLASH-Grand Vic Elgin News

On Jan 28 Grand Vic Elgin will remove the BJ tables from the South Pit, replacing them with slots. That will leave only 13 or 14 tables left out of 21. They're replacing them with slots. Also letting go 65 dealers, supervisors, etc. Blaming it on the 70% tax rate from State of ILL. Confirmed today by dealers on the outs.

I'll have to give an old friend a call and see if he is one the dealers being let go. I didn't play much there when I lived in Chicago because there were lower limits elsewhere (yeah, I couldn't afford $10 units at the time and had to slink around the $5 tables in Gary), but I thought it was nice. Remember, that was about 8 years ago!

    chgobjpro: Which dealers

I was told dealers were not let go based on senority, but how fast they dealth the game. Some dealers were let go that have been there since opening over 9 years ago.

Well, if they haven't figured out what management values after nine years, I'm not surprised.
