    FLASH: Detroit ~ conditions requested

I have never played in Detroit.
Please give me the skinny on the BJ games offered there.
I play black and need to know what the heat is like of course.

Detroit is OK and Black play will be OK a the three Detroit Casinos. They all of high limit rooms where black action is the norm.

Pen is almost 5/6 at Motor city and Greek town. MGM is more like 4 1/2 / 6.

Motor City is in a bad area. MGM is not much better but both are safe. Just be careful in the surrounding areas. Greak town in in a nice area and has some night life and places to eat.

Had some minor problems at Greektown a couple years back. I played two consecutive weekends and really cleaned up wonging very aggressively. Played maybe %80 main-floor and %20 high-limit. I gave them lots of action with my players card.

When I asked for a simple meal comp I was diverted to the casino host who told me I had a comp balance of zero. The PC, player's club person and casino host each gave me different, seemingly made up, answers as to why this was. I posted this story in depth on another board, and someone else said a very similar thing happened to him right before he was 86ed.

I might give the advice that you should be cautious about using a players card there. But another AP, whom I think plays the high-limit parlor pretty much exclusively, said he has had no problems. So I'll just offer this all up at face value.

If you like Greek food, the grub at Greektown is some of the best I've ever tasted. Try the lamb chops at the Olympia.

    FLASH: further info requested

I need to know if these are 6 deck S17 DAS NO LS games, as I assume?; and far more importantly, what the typical cut is, i.e. "Penetration"

Some Greektown info as of about 9 mos ago:
Yes, [6 deck S17 DAS NO LS]. Pen was about 1.5/6. $50 mins on most high-limit tables. Lots of gawky PC's as always. Probably still a rough go for a wonger.

I don't play BJ in Detroit anymore. I just did a quick walk through out of curiosity during a Poker trip. This was on a weekday. Limits may be higher on weekends/evenings. Also, I remember All Detroit stores being insanely crowded on weekends.

Unless someone chimes in with specific data about MGM and MotorCity, I might expect like conditions those placed too.

    Felix Rue-de-Guerre: Oh yea...

You could re-split aces at GT and MC. I imagine MGM is same.
