    SOTSOG: Too bad

It has been about a year since I was at Ceasars Indiana, and the conditions were good on the Double Deck at that time.

Things could be just in a state of flux due to the buyout with Harrahs?

I think I remember your post from your last visit. The DD game there is being revamped because the hold is down to 4%. I think it's going from $25/$1000 to $50/$500 and some other likely changes. 50% pen has been standard for sometime but some dealers gave 60--65% routinely. That seems pretty much gone after a staff meeting last week when dealers were "reminded" of the pen standard. I've been playing red 6d lately instead of DD. Net results about the same. It's just that 6d wears my old butt out quicker than DD.

RP: When will they ever learn?

If they want to increase their hold, they should increase the pen to 75% or so, not remind the dealers that 50% is the standard. I have little doubt that the dealers who have been bending the rules by dealing deeper are actually making more money for the casino. I also think that the hold would increase if they replaced the D9 rule with DA2; the gains made by the few counters and perfect BS players (if there are any of them) would be more than offset by the gains the casino would make from all of the ploppies who don't have a clue about proper soft doubling and who like to double on hard 7's, 12's, etc.

I'm sure you're right about that, RP.
