    newtocc: Betting

New to counting and the betting aspect is alittle confusing. I was reading that in order to beat an 8 deck game, one needs a spread of 1 to 12. That's alittle outside of my comfort zone. To simplify, why not just play when one has the advantage, TC >= +2. You would never have to alter your bet.

Or is that not practical, would one be getting up all of the time?

The problems with 8-deckers are they are really boring and backcounting them labels you a buzzard. Do yourself a favor and stick to 6 decks.
