    mikeel: antes in Oklahoma casinos

The Indian casinos in Oklahoma require an ante of one yellow chip (25 cents). Does that make the blackjack unplayable there? How much a drag on EV is there?

While not trying to sound patronizing, the drag on e.v. is, well, ... 25 cents per hand! :-)

So, if you're playing 100 hands per hour, you're going to give up $25/hr. to the ante.

You next have to assess what your bankroll is, what your counting edge is, and, therefore, what your hourly win rate is. If it is significantly higher than $25, perhaps you can afford to play. If it isn't, then the ante is too onerous.

It's even worse--antes are 50 cents per hand, so the Oklahome games must be avoided.
