    orster52: 88v10, Aor3?

I was playing a 6D,H17,DAS game, and caught the hand 88v10. I split and received A and 3. I then mused as to which was the better hand, 8A or 83. I didn't know the answer until getting back home and reading the bible, "Blackjack Attack". I now know that 83 is better than 8A.

Does this indicate that I have spent entirely too much time at the blackjack tables? Do normal people muse about different matters? lol.

The first time I saw a list of the best hands in order was in Revere's book. I can remember not only trying to learn them all, but also to realize how many starting hands are actually winners compared to how many are losers. You might want to look at the whole list, for fun.
