    With Macau less than 500 miles away and Mainland China less than 200 miles, I guess the temptation to grab some of the pot changed some viewpoints in Taipei. Three years back, a similar vote failed. They’ll start out with a “medium-sized” resort-casino on a small island – a mere $2 billion in construction. More islands likely to join.
