• 6:5 Blackjack in Maryland

Interesting article. Maryland loosened regulations allowing them to alter rules. First rule, 6:5 Blackjack. But, there was backlash and some casinos say they fear losing customers if they change.

This is why casinos struggle as an industry. The real gamblers refuse to go to casinos that don't give you a fair shake so they automatically lose their best customers. They never get it back because the remaining customers lose their entire gambling budget every month. If they win they just play more that month to loss their gambling budget. They don't have any more money to lose so raising the house edge isn't going to get $1 more in revenue. What it will do is make them see they never win anymore or win a lot less often and their money doesn't last as long. Even an idiot would eventually figure this out and go elsewhere. Those that still remain are the poorest of the poor who can't afford to go elsewhere and the dumbest of the dumb. Shame on the states for setting up those that can least afford it to be the victims of casino greed. The casinos might be too stupid to see why people refuse to make a long drive to be a loyal customer when they don't open enough tables so when they get there they can find spots to play and/or offer far worse games than can be found in neighboring jurisdictions. Maryland is a narrow state. No matter where you are in Maryland another state is a short drive away. Guess what every game in Pa offers, S17, late surrender, 3:2 BJ. Anywhere in Maryland Pa is a short drive away. Guess what every casino in Delaware offers, S17 3:2 BJ. Guess what is almost ubiquitous in WV, S17 3:2 BJ. It is obvious the state is in collusion with the casinos to unfairly take advantage of the poorest and dumbest in their jurisdiction. The rest will keep going to the out of state casinos they always visited once they see crap games, unless of course they are too stupid or too poor to know enough to travel to another state to gamble.

Looking at the picture, there we have it. A 6:5 game on a CSM. Why don't those suckers just empty their wallets on the table right from the start. The casinos get what they want, your cash. And you get what's coming to you, being broke and feeling raped. Why should all suffer though that whole playing the game process.....

PS Notice that the Chip rack is sealed.... "We just take your money up front, you don't need those stinking chips since your going to lose them all anyway. This just says everyone time".

This continues to remind me why I don't invest in casino stock!!!

You'll notice the dealer in the photograph is using a CSM, adding a little insult to injury on the 6:5 thing.
