      I think you could conclude that 27 casinos and 45,000 illegal machines on an island with a population of 3.5 mil might be a little excessive.

      Unlike the Bahamas, where locals are barred from betting in casinos, the vast majority of the customers in P.R. are locals. The P.R. economy is in very poor shape. And yeah, the proliferation of illegal machines is disastrous.

      Actually, the best view is how many blackjack tables there are per capita.

      These casinos are mostly diminutive, and, I suspect, mainly slot parlors
