"It's focus on high income luxury guests never caught on". All the high rollers I know visited once or twice and vowed never to go back. These are high rolling ploppies betting $5,000 chips at craps and other games that are not AP games per se. The focus of the Revel was to make the common player feel equal which came with making the high roller feel neglected. Everything the Revel did to be different was not well received by high rollers. The media, what can you do?

Straub now says he is buying the Showboat. He says the deal is done. It appears it is quite signed and when it is will give Stockton a year or so option to get it back. Straub says he plans to spend a half-billion revitalizing AC, including a medical center, two marinas, retirement facility, as well as casinno overhauls.

Did he buy the Trump Plaza or the atlantic Club properties? The Trump Plaza is the best location in AC. You cross the bridge on the AC Expressway and you are there. Both are oceanfront locations.

Hard to tell from what he says. It appears he tends to say some deals are done that are still in talking stages.
